What color should I paint my nails !?

I'm doing a spring mani/pedi and don't know which color to use out of these three:

http://s361.photobucket.com/albums/oo60/…

Oppinions? What color should I paint my nails !?
Pink for spring

orange or pink for summer

Blue for Winter

pink right nowWhat color should I paint my nails !?
Definitely the Orange
Black, but if you must choose one of those then the blue one.
Sperm-colored.

Works great for me, honey.
The one on the far left. Turquoise. :D That's what color i have my nails right now :].
I think the Pure Ice pink one is the prettiest!
The one on the right.
china glaze, i love that color!!
Pink
the pink one
haha you took a pic of nail polish. funny. Um the last one on the right
pinkk%26lt;3!!!!
charcoal grey
Ha lol!! I have that pink one and I love it!!! Use that one=)

ohh, I like the one on the far right.

pinkish. very springy.

What color should I paint my walls...Pictures included?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/9898133@N07鈥?/a>What color should I paint my walls...Pictures included?
light blue.... ocean green.... blue green.... all these are very calming...!!What color should I paint my walls...Pictures included?
Leaf green.
A light blue or smooth pink
i would say something light.. like a light blue or a light yellow.
Either rose or coral.
i would think the color you find most comfortable to see around you.
light blue or yellow or green or white
I think you should paint your walls either Jade green or gold or a color close to either one of them.
I think you should paint then a lighter green and a few shades darker but striped. Make the stripes about 12 inches wide and alternate the colors it will open up the room

Like this but green

http://www.paintedonline.com/images/phot鈥?/a>
i think a purple or light olive/green color will accent the curtains and the mirrors very nicely!
because of the floor plan that is on your house and the small window shelfes you have i would a nice semi dark earth tone with a light trim
Sauna Check out Pewter Cloud
Green.
It's me again!

1] move mirrors to wall opposite window

2] paint walls the pale gold of the sunflower curtains in kitchen.

3] get a red Asian bamboo door cover for window

4] get red fabric tablecover

5] use black iron or red/gold ceramic Asian teapot for centerpiece, or fabric bouquet of poppies

6] get long skinny Asian posters or prints for either side of window
The best color to go in that room would either be a chocolate brown or a deep red/possibly lighter or darker than the image I've given you below.

Your room looks like it should have a Latin vibe.
I would say for that room a light blue or a spring green.
I would say a bright color nothing dull or dark.. it will bring out the smaller things you put in the room
I saw the photo with the curtain/mirrors and the table so I hope this is the room your referring to. I would paint it a dark chocolate mousse color. It would bring out the color of your curtains and decor. Also, just a thought...friend to friend...if you had enough material to lengthen your curtains you could move them up closer towards the ceiling that would give the illusion of a larger window the ';feel'; of an even larger space. You'll impress your friends with the finished look of interior design. ;-)

Hope this helps!

What color should i paint my bedroom walls if I'm getting this bedding?

http://www.auctiva.com/hostedimages/show…What color should i paint my bedroom walls if I'm getting this bedding?
i love the roxy bedding :) Anyways I would color match paint to the green in your bedding bc its the less dominant color. pink walls would be too much pink. What color should i paint my bedroom walls if I'm getting this bedding?
Get a paint to match the green stripe. You can take your pillow case in and they can computer match the paint to it.
thats pretty paint your walls a nice white with one green accent wall in the color of the wall with the shelf in the picture. =)
I would say a light lime green like the picture it looks really good.

I would just do a focus wall. to much green might be a little over whelming.
I would match the green and then add pink stripes or polka dots
Light green or bright green
light green or pink

this is REALLY in.....and looks awesome and hot..:D
If your skin is fair try with a darker purple, navy blue or vibrating red, but if your skin is of a darker tone try with dark orange, pink or a darker shade of green.

    anything that will stand out
    Blue navy

What color should I paint my toes?

They are deep pink right now but I wanna change the color. What color should I paint my toes?
Try white or brown. What color should I paint my toes?
    red....the only color for toes
a bright red its rly pretty
    french pedicure. works the best!
RED!!!!! It's the best color ever!
You should paint them a red color with a white line on the very tip of your nails.
    Brown

    No one does it brown

    be unique
What mood are you feeling, go for a bright color if ya feeling high n on top.
    RED :) A sexy red
Whatever colour suits your feet best.
    purple
Paint them rainbow colored!!! that way you have every color you could possibly want on them!
    Red looks the best
    Go for fire engine red.
Do the French Tips Pedicure, looks cute with everything!
The deep pink sounds tres sexy, but personally, I think it'd look smashing if you paint your toes with mirror-finish reflective nail polish.
    blue or green
a honey brown is always pretty.
    blue sparkly
umm glow in the dark is kewl for us guys after we jus f'ed
Try a burgandy or wine color!
deep dark red ya got to luv it
    pretty purple- like mine. the shade is called ';BELOVED CHILD';
Fire Engine Red! .. with gold or silver charms or even fame diamond stone set in them spelling out something! .. ;-)
one side red the other side purple. i did that with my nails before, only i had the top half silver and the bottom half sky blue. it was cool and i got lots of complements. ^_^
    red
Can you go to peach? Just always match the toes to the fingernails. It's not too much trouble for summer!!
    probably scarlet.
If your ';toes' are pink--mmmmm you may have an infection??

    I would see a doctor soon ;-)
    chartreuse
    DARK Burgundy

What color should i paint my room if my bed is lime green and hot pink and my canipy is bright ornge?

well what do u thinkWhat color should i paint my room if my bed is lime green and hot pink and my canipy is bright ornge?
How about a pastel of any one of those?

With your bed being so bright, you would want to give your eyes a rest, and make your bedroom itself soothing. What color should i paint my room if my bed is lime green and hot pink and my canipy is bright ornge?
defiantly light purple i have pretty much the same set up except the walls are lime green and my bed is purple
    bright yellow
I would paint the room white, then all your colors will stand out and blend nicely.
It depends...if you have more lime green on your bed then go with hot pink. And if you have more hot pink then go with lime green. What I'm basically trying to say is whatever color you don't have a lot of...that's the color you need to paint your room. Trust me...I'm an expert at this stuff. I'm a fashion and home desinger.
    Ouch.

I would go with a white with just a hint of green, pink, or orange in it....

Get a color strip that matches something in your room and pick the palest color.
purple! Purple goes good with those colors likehttp://www.stylesdb.com/screenshots/avat鈥?/a>
black.....black makes brighter colors stand out better......my conforter is black and i put bright pink, lime, teal, purple ETC. colors on my walls!!! Good Luck!!!
A DARK OR DEEP COLOR WOULD REALLY BRING OUT ALL THE BRIGHT COLORS SO BLACK
I would do a toned down version of the lime green on the walls. Then on one or two walls randomly paint pink, orange and bright green circles of various sizes...or you can do stripes.

You could also paint half the wall green and the other half pink with a crazy lime green wavy line or stripe in the middle to break up the green and pink.

I have a million ideas floating around in my head right now but that's a good start.

Have fun with whatever you decide...just don't let the paint and color overpower the room...you want the focus of your room to be the bed and canopy. Too much going on in a room is very distracting. Keep it simple...be creative and have fun.
eww get ride of the bed and the orange and lime and canappy.
bright blue to keep the color fav going..or a nice tan to make the bedding and canipy pop... :)
light blue or yellow light purple
You could paint it a light lime green or light blue or light purple!
    Purple of course
Something more dull to bring out the colors of your furniture. or maybe even black if you wanted be edgy.
Bright or bold purple. That color combo is awesome! I had a friend who used all 4 of those colors on her bedroom walls (1 color on each) %26amp; it made it soooo fun to go in there!
your room sounds ugly. paint it blue
checkerboard purple and lime green it would be awesome

    seriously
go totally with stripes orange, pink, and green!!!!!!!!
I picture a semi-gloss white as the bottom color. Then use a sponge roller or plastic bags trick and do accents of the colors you want between or all of the lime green/hot pink/bright orange. Try being creative in just one section, if you don't like it, repaint it white and try a new combination.
you should do stripes in those colors. it would look really cool
purple, purple would look great with those colors!
Okay this is really detailed soo if your not into deets then go with the second one but okay here goes!

    * Alright I think you should do pink wall and lime green polka dots with orange rim around your wall.

If your not that detailed then thats okay go 4 the next one.

    * Okay You could do like one wall pink one wall Lime green and one wall orange and then the wall with maybe your bed on it just white! Let me know how it works out! E-mail me!

  • What color should i paint my nails?

It depends on how long your nails are.

If you are painting your finger nails...

Long nails - dark and vibrant/noticeable colours like red, purple, dark pink, fluro colours, etc.

Short nails - light and shimmering colours like pale pink or light brown, even a clear colour with glitter in it.

If you are painting your toe nails...

Long or short nails - Dark colours! Red and purple look the best in my opinion but I just suggest you don't paint them light colours.

This is just the rules I go by but it depends on the tone of your skin, your age and your personality. Have fun! =]What color should i paint my nails?
if your tan: i would get a rose-pink, white, orange, or anything bright. a french manicure is always pretty and elegant.

if your pale: get shimmery colors. for example, a lighter pink with glitter?

if your younger than 13: use lighter colours, such as baby pink or sky blue.

if your from 13-18: use ';fun'; colours, such as hot pinks, flourescent oranges, or bright yellows. your still young, so have fun!

if your from 19-35: experiment! go from light pinks to ruby reds to midnight black.

if your 36+: go for more intense colours, such as darker tones of green, red, and blue. What color should i paint my nails?
    Hmm

Depends, If u like fluro sorts, get orange

like black get a dark black

Like red? Get a shimmery one

I loove satin nail colors they r simply a clear coating with glitter in them

But it all dpends on wat u look like...

if your loud annd confident: BRIGHToranges, pinks, greens, yellows.

if your more quiet: SOFTER pinks and other mellow colors.

    RUBY RED

    PURPLE!?:)!
it depends on what you look like

What color should i paint my walls.?

My sheets, pillows, and blankets are yellow and orange but i dont know what color to paint my walls????What color should i paint my walls.?
    Ravishing Red?

My mother decorated her kids rooms by doing 3 walls in the same pattern/color and the last wall in something more decorative and costly that fit with the kid's then interests - like wall paper showing horses until the interest turned to airplanes. You might consider a toned down color for three of the walls and a brighter color for the one you look at the most and then turn it into a feature wall with posters or fabric wall art. What color should i paint my walls.?
Here are some color schemes that might work:

    Color to paint twins room?

I'm having twins; one girl and one boy. They will be sharing a room until they are old enough to be sepearated and I have no clue what to od with it; I was thinking maybe a soft green walls, but I'm not sure...what colors and themes can I do? (my daughter, Megan, suggested that we paint it pink and I asked what about they boy and she said ';Oh, he can share a bed with Ethan'; Ethans my 5-year-old son!!!Color to paint twins room?
I like the idea of a soft green. Any neutral color would work though. Green, cream colored, yellow.

I have twin boys. I wanted a girl and I got 2 boys. I wouldn't change it for anything though.

As for the theme, what about Noah's Ark (2 of each). ?? Or you could do like barnyard animals, winnie the pooh, precious moments.

Good luck and enjoy them babies.Color to paint twins room?
We did Winnie the Pooh for our boys. I didn't think of the Noah's Ark theme until after I already started buying pooh stuff. I'm sure you'll get it all figured out though. Good luck.

    soft neutral colours

    eg soft apple

    honney

    a weak lemon
I really like the sky nd grass idea but if that's too much i'd say a nice yellow color. Not too bright but any color yellow would brighten up the room and keep the babies happier. It would also keep you happier and less stressed on those long days :)
babiesrus.com has cute nursery ideas. they have an ABC theme that would work for a boy or girl. also, yellow walls with a poo and friends theme is cute for both genders.
Green would be cute. If you do that you can try a rainforest or jungle theme. You could also do any animal theme. Teddy bears also work well for younger children of both genders.
Perhaps a ';neutral'; color like the green you mentioned or a soft yellow. As far as themes, you could also keep it neutral, like with an animal theme (jungle animals, farm animal, etc.), Noah's Ark, Teddy Bears or even Winnie the Pooh. Congrats to you!
I love blue so I painted the babies room lite blue. I have a one 3 yr old and two 15 month old twins(boy/girl) and right now they are all in one room that is my favorite shade of blue. When we move to our new house the boys will have a blue room and the girl a lilac room. But paint the room the color you like since you are the only one right now that cares about it(kids don't really care until they are in school).
I would do a neutral theme like a spring outside kind of thing.

Paint the walls sky blue with clouds and then add grass coming up from the floor and trees. You can then add bumblebees, flowers, butterflys, kites, whatever you want.

    Hope this helped.
    Soft green would be good.
I think your little girl is right on track! haha

I like the idea of a soft green. My daughter's room is a soft green, we did the Noah's Arch theme. We added pinks and purple when we found out she was a girl.

    More ideas,

I always found picking out the nursery theme was the hardest part!

    Good luck and congratulations.
I would say either a baby blue with clouds, green, or yellow.
paint your babys room light yellow and light green...

    congrats
I like the green idea. Yellow, light blue, mixture of colors. Some kind of scene.
I would do yellow and orange with jungle animal theme.
I'd do a light green, I think it is a great neutral color. And green would look good with pink or blue-so you could get your daughter pink bedsheets and your son blue bedsheets.
Either light green or light yellow. That way if you decide to get pink and blue bedding for each cot, the colours will go together nicely. Congratulations also =)!
u coukld like a theme that they both like like a jungle

or half pink on the girls side and blue or green for ur boy
My friend did pink and blue stripes on the walls or 2 walls pink and 2 blue.

What color should I paint his nails?

My boyfriend said I could do his fingernails and toenails and he would have to keep them over the weekend because he lied to me and thats how I chose for him to make it up!!

What color should I make his nails?

I get to do both his fingernails and toenails. What color should I paint his nails?
I think you should make him get fake acrylic nails for his fingers and paint his toes PINKWhat color should I paint his nails?
Oh man, sucks to be him. Do bright purple, or hot pink. Something that realy stands out. Paint a penis on a nail using a tooth pick or something! Sweet...
Black, get india ink the waterproof stuff

    try the brand speedball
    red
    red white and blue
    red
A nice girly pink! and how about some nailart?

What color should i paint my casted toes?

my cast is blueWhat color should i paint my casted toes?
    i say bright orange..

if you want to stand out! What color should i paint my casted toes?
    neon green!

neon colors aren't as bad when you have a cast

it's like the perfect time for neon colors

since the cast is blue, go for neon green

I'm painting on plastic. Should I use water colors or oil based?

So I have these orange construction cones. I thought it'd be a good idea to paint them. (they have stories behind them. I don't just paint traffic cones.) :) I believe I should paint them either white or light gray first. Then paint on top of that whatever artwork I see fit. Is that a good idea?

And, what type of paint should I use? I've never painted on plastic. :) Thanks much loves!I'm painting on plastic. Should I use water colors or oil based?
Dont use oil you'll wait days for it to dry... water color will wash off, use acrylic, go to a craft store find base coat spray, do that let it dry and then paint it with whatever you want, after your done spray it with clear coat so if it gets dirty or dusty you can wipe it down and not have to worry

Good luckI'm painting on plastic. Should I use water colors or oil based?
First use an acrylic primer, and when it dries then use acrylic paint whether it be spray paint or tube paint .The primer will allow the paint to adhere to the cones. Then use a clear acrylic spray to seal it all when you are done.
I would suggest neither, instead I suggest Acrylic paint
I agree with acrylic paint. If you feel like it, put a thin layer of gesso on the plastic to make the paint stay better.

  • What is this paint job? color? type?

saw this in nyc car show wanted to know what paint is this and about how much would it be to get my car painted like this.

http://media.monstersandcritics.com/gall鈥?/a>What is this paint job? color? type?
Flat black, AKA hot rod black.

You get this look by adding flattening agent to the paint for a single stage job, or to the clear on a base/clear job.

http://www.kirkerautomotive.com/html/gal鈥?/a> Kirker Automotive makes an affordable single stage called 'hot rod black' that will give you that look.

For a total paint job, figure $3,000 to $4,000 if there's no body work or rust repair to be done. What is this paint job? color? type?
    semi gloss black

its not flat, that has more shine to it

    so its semi gloss

heres a pic of a semi gloss black

    http://www.newbeetle.org/forums/attachme鈥?/a>

keep in mind, that car you saw had a showroom paintjob

    so its pretty much perfect

this one is just standard, and most likely how your car will turn out
known as matte or ';flat'; black. usually involves no clearcoat to give the paint it's shiny-ness.
check out the lexus website you may be able to find out there.
    flat black!!! :)

Help me decorate my kitchen! honey-colored wood floor, exposed brick, want to paint cabinets- help!?

Hi. I need help thinking of color schemes for my new kitchen. There's one wall of exposed red brick along the side, older wood cabinets that I'd like to paint, a cream colored countertop, and a honey-colored wood floor. What a mess, right?! Any thoughts? I've thought about painting the brick and the cabinets a neutral cream-color and then accenting with one color to pull it all together, but I don't know if I want to cover the brick, it adds so much character. Eventually, I'll replace the cabinets with something more my style......Help me decorate my kitchen! honey-colored wood floor, exposed brick, want to paint cabinets- help!?
Paint your units in a coffee or cream colour %26amp; change the handles for nice decorative brass ones, have you seen the knife, fork %26amp; spoon shape, they will add an unusual touch. I definitely would not cover or paint the wall, left bare will add character %26amp; enhance the floor covering! Enjoy your new kitchen!!Help me decorate my kitchen! honey-colored wood floor, exposed brick, want to paint cabinets- help!?
ohh that sound like a coffee house basics!

try doing a java theme! get like those little cups like JAVA scripting does and put a brick color around your boarder or frames maybe large ones painted on the cabinets I would maintian the colors you have they sound wonderful! but maybe look for a richer colors to accent the cream better!

The brick is soo awsome why would youwant to cover it!

if you do put up a curtain rod and get long long almost see through curtains that go to the floor or almost to the floor and that should hide the brick!

or not make it so in your face and it will soften up your kitchen a bit!
Hi, I didn't know we lived together, I never see you around! I have the same kitchen, and if you can stain the cabinets, use Golden Oak. Or they sell just the Doors for Cabinets. You could get those in Golden Oak.If neither one of those are not possible, Get a sample of the stain, Golden Oak, and have the paint person match the color for you. That color goes real well with the floor, and brick. I only have brick on one wall, I painted the other three walls a very, very faint green. It looks great together. Bye
I would stripe and restain the cabinets to match the honey-colored floor. Leave the bricks, once painted your stuck. It pretty much impossible to remove it you hate it. I would paint your ceiling white and any other paint able surface (a plain wall) a bright color and accent with bright colors. You could paint your cabinets a light color, but you pretty much have to stripe all the finish off because grease and dirt build up that you can't see but will cause the finish to be blemished.
Congrats on your new home! I am not big on brick inside the house unless they are softer looking antique bricks. Just my personal opinion, though. I'd paint them the same color as the walls, not the cabinets, a color that will contrast with the floor and counter tops, really make your hardwood floor stand out. I generally use the Benjamin Moore historic colors. You could do a sage, like the Ben Moore color HC-11. You can also have the paint store lighten the color by adding 25% white to any color you like but think is too dark. That color would be nice with the floor and the cream counters. So would a darker yellow/gold. I had my cabinets painted by a professional as it is best to sand them or use sandband so that the paint adheres well over the previous finish. Really look at the choice of finishes available and see if you want the cabinets a gloss or a satin finish. I prefer a satin that is not too shiny but most people just paint gloss with out giving it a lot of thought. However, a high gloss cabinet might be nice against the rough finish of the bricks. There are also lots of great pulls for the drawers and cabinets available now that would add character to your new paint job. Paint the walls first and then see how the brick looks in it's natural state before you paint it. You can always drill holes in the mortar and hang framed pictures or old collectible kitchen tools. A nice look would be pictures framed in thin black wooden frames on the brick and then some black iron handles on the cabinets. There is one that is shaped like a football but is open twisted iron. Very nice. Have fun with your project. The paint part is easy for the walls. Try out a few patches on the wall and live with it for a week or two and see how it looks in daylight and at night. How it ';lives';. Some colors change a lot with the time of day. Good luck and I hope you have a happy life in your new home!
1] don't paint the bricks - they really do add character!

instead, paint the cabinets to match the counter, or re-finish to match the floor.

2] then paint the wall one of your favorite shades - not too dark, or too bright. Consider:

    dusty rose

    peach

    custard yellow

    sage green

    aqua

    sky blue

    lavender..., or

3] use a favorite decorative or kitchen item to inspire you - a pitcher, set of canisters, ceramic bowl, etc. Use one of the colors from them to paint the walls.

4] add a valence or curtains, some matching placemats, some potted plants, etc.

Yes, it was Andy Warhol. Here is a site Andy would have been proud of. Now everyone can be a Warhol ';digital'; screenprint!

if you want a really good long lasting paint job done on it the average price of one these days is around 2 thousand for a really good one,one thing that helps is your staying with the original color, but black is a hard color to shoot for some people, but its also one of the nicest colors you will see on a vehicle, hard to keep clean ,but nice all the same, for good paint and good services 2 thousand would be a real good price on that one, those are nice vehicles, good luck with it.

Shoes, other wise it takes ages for the paint to come off your skin. You may have to wear shoes and socks to cover it for 6 months to hide the paint.Would u spray paint my feet? what color spray paint? barefoot or with shoes?
I would rather do some henna India style body drawings. Much more sexy.

    What color to paint kitchen?

Ok so just did some major renovations o the kitchen. Here are the basics, its a small kitchen, all stainless steel appliances, light beige stone tiles on the floor, cherry wood cabinets, %26amp; a beige-ish backsplash %26amp; countertop. Im really at a loss when it comes to what color to paint, when i go in there, nothing particular pops into my mind...soooo any suggestions??What color to paint kitchen?

play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to help you imagine how the colors will look together. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family %26amp; color name, the ';painted'; rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

    http://www.sherwin.com/visualizer/

I think ';independent gold'; (# 6401) might be a great choice.

You can take a photo of your house %26amp; upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

    http://www.roomvues.com/

You can get color suggestions %26amp; for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.
i would look at the yellow family or what they call blizzard any other color will tend to have the room close in on you
Not sure what your likes and dislikes are, but I've found that the yellows and yellow tans don't look good with the silver appliances. What do you think of a light cool grey or blue grey. Maybe then you can add accents of silver and aluminum (ie, counter top appliances), cookie jar, and platters/bowls, etc. Grey accent throw rug in front of the sink and a few grey hand towels and oven mitts. This way any bright flowers you may want to display will just POP...or even a fruit bowl, wall art or pictures. Hope this helps, Good Luck!
For a warm feel, try burnt umber (brownish-orange), brick red (reddish-brown), khaki tan.

For a cooler feel, try sage green or for more punch, robin's egg blue.

I would probably go for a khaki tan with punches of one or more of the other colors that were my favorite. A khaki tan would also look great with jewel toned indgio blue.
    brick red
i would paint it an olive green color

you could also paint it red...but i think that is too much red for a small room like you said

i personally like the olive color...

a soft yellow would look good too

but it would kinda blend in with the floors

    hope i helped :)

Let me know if it works.

Can you tint primer with the color you are painting the walls?

Yes you can. Not only does it help you new paint to adhere to the wall, you may not require a second coat of paint on the wall. Can you tint primer with the color you are painting the walls?
I would think so, but Lowe's knows! Can you tint primer with the color you are painting the walls?
Yes, it's a good move because if you get the tint you want you really don't need to paint on top of the primer.
Yes, you can however you have to add a little at a time or you run the risk of making your painted walls darker than what you'd want them to be.

Have you ever used the diy website? Go on www.diy.com. Or talk to someone in the store where you're going to be getting your primer and paint and see what they suggest that you do as far as altering the color of the primer.
I have and it worked fine.

Especially if you are painting a reddish or dark color.

If your final color is a light color, it is probably not necessary.
You can, but the top color usually winds up darker than the color swatch since the swatch is based on a white undercoat.
You could, but why waste paint?
Yes, you can, but the effectiveness will depend on the color you want. I have a red wall, and even though I tinted the primer it still took me about 5 coats to make it look even... Red is supposed to be the worst for covering anyway. Other colors (even if deep) should be fine.
I WORKED AT A HARDWARE STORE FOR NINE YEARS AND I MIXED PRIMER ALL THE TIME..FIND A GOOD ONE AND EXPLAIN WHAT YOU WANT TO THEM THEY WOULD BE GLAD TO HELP YOU..WHEN YOU COLOR YOUR PRIMER YOU USE LESS PAINT. IT MAY NOT BE THE SAME COLOR.BUT DARK COLORED PAINT USE A DARK PRIMER.IT WORKS...

Brown %26amp; aqua are the hott color combo right now, so I would go with something like ';aquatint'; by sherwin williams:

You'll have to scroll down a bit on this page to see the examples of all of the brown %26amp; blue products they found:

http://www.thechocolateblues.com/IM PAINTING MY ROOM WHT COLOR SHOULD IT bE?
light blues are very peaceful, and so are fuschia and oranges.
You could try a lemon color, it's light and very nice.
Hello, if you like brown, the most modern color to pair it with is light blue. What kinds of furniture do you have? Since you want peaceful, you might want to go with the light blue on the walls and accent with brown accessories and/or bedding. Good luck!
Chocolate brown and ice blue are still hot this year. Chocolate is a great idea because there are so many colors that compliment it that when you're ready for a change you can do it inexpensively by changing your drapes, pillows, artwork etc. without having to re-paint, which is a pain!
blue with a choclate brown accent wall or brown with a light blue accent wall.
Teal or fuscia look great with tans. along with orange. all three would be great accents to a tan wall.

What color acrylics do i mix to get beige (skin tone) paint?

magenta, yellow, mostly white. Add a little blue to neutralize the orangy tone. It will take some trial and error. Good luck!

Test it on a test piece of paper before you paint with it.

What do I have to do?

been using paint shop pro for years and never seen that effect. the only way i can think to do it would be a long tedious process.

How to paint the plastic trim around my car the same color of the car..?

1st: remove the trim frm the car.

2nd: wash the trims with soap and water and let them dry

3rd: while they are drying go to a specialist paint shop and buy:

cleaner: which removes any grease ,wax etc that might be on

the trim.paint will flake off as it wont stick to

    contaminated surfaces

primer: the special primer made for plastic trim, not the normal

    one

paint: take the car with you and the guys in the shop will read

the code off your car and mix a can of paint matching yr

    car

lacquer: if your car is metallic paint then you will also need

a can of lacquer that will make the paint shine.

fine grade wet and dry sand paper: to lightly sand the paint

    between coats of paint

when back home take all the trim where you can spray it in a dust free well ventilated place. where is up to what your place has and can offer. a garage is good.

1st: clean each trim carefullly with the cleaner and lay it aside. dont touch the parts you are gonna paint after you have cleaned them (you can touch the reverse sides to move them about)

2nd: shake the primer can for at least 2 mins then get a scrap piece of cardboard and spray a few strokes to check the can works and get some practice strokes in. now spray each trim slowly. smooth strokes. spray one or two strokes . give it 2 to3 minutes to go off then spray some more. build the paint up very slowly to prevent too much wet paint on the trim which will run and create a mess which you will the have to clean off (nightmare)

when the trims have been coated in primer leave them for at least 24 hours to dry. dont touch with your fingers to see if it has gone off just leave it alone for 24 hours.

when dry.get a small tub with water in. throw in a few pieces of the sandpaper and let it absorb the water. then lightly sand the primer to remove any tiny bumps and the rough surface. when it is smooth wash it and let it dry. when dry lightly wipe it with the cleaner on a lint free cloth to create a clean, now smooth surface for the paint to stick to.

3rd shake the can of paint for 2 minutes minimum. get a scrap piece of cardboard and spray a few strokes to check the can works and get some practice strokes in. now start spraying the trims one at a time. spray smooth strokes from before the start of the end of the trim all the way past the end of the trim. build the paint up slowly.the first strokes will look like you havent put any paint on but this is where you have to be patient. dont load on masses of paint immediately. as you build up you will slowly you will see that the paint is covering the trim. once done dont touch it and let it dry for 24 hours.

4th.if you have lacquer repeat the above 3rd step but this time spray on the lacquer. leave to dry for 24 hours and then carefully replace the trim on to your car.you may need to go to the main dealer to buy some of the plastic clips that might have broken when you took the trims off but they are really cheap.

now stand back and admire your work and think of all the money you saved not paying someone else to do it.

How to paint the plastic trim around my car the same color of the car..?
Yes do get the paint from a car paint place. It is a special paint and not just a regular spray paint. You also need to prime it first. If you can't take the trim off,and don't have a book for the car, a body shop can help you probably for free. How to paint the plastic trim around my car the same color of the car..?
If it is removable remove it and spray it from a paint can then when its dry put it back together again. take the trim to the shop and they will try and match your car colour.

Help I painted a room and the color is much brighter then expected?

I painted my family room a mustard yellow and in certain times of the day it looks like flouresent green, I was thinking of sponging on another color to tone it down but I am not sure what color I should use any suggestionsHelp I painted a room and the color is much brighter then expected?
Your problem is not uncommon. Yellow's are one of the hardest colors to work with, they either look absolutely stunning or make you want to vomit. There is never an inbetween. Yellow is a primary color and it also tends to pick up colors from whats around it. You must look at whats in the room. If for instance you have a red couch, it will make your yellow look orange, because it draws the red. Yellow and red make orange. Your carpeting plays a tremendous part in this process because light shines down from your windows and shoots the carpet coloring up onto the walls. If you have real hardwood it will do the same. Some things i suggest to some customers is changing the furniture around, this sometimes changes the way the light hits and thus the way it casts color. If you are changing the carpenting do so that may help.

If all else fails try some faux finishing techniques. Some of the other answers folks recommended sponging, which I agree with. You can also try Colorwashing, Strie, or smooshing basically the sky is the limit. Go to a good paint store, they often have booklets and how to guides, that can give you ideas. Before you try any of these, I recommend painting a piece of oaktag or wallboard with your existing paint, then experimenting on that. The reason is you can move your oaktag/drywall around your room to see how the new look will work against your carpeting and furniture. If you don't like it you can just repaint one board rather than the whole room, also it lets you get your technique down pat. All is not lost, just have patience.

Good LuckHelp I painted a room and the color is much brighter then expected?
i'm with matt. a cream color will bring the yellow-green tone down. accent with browns and sage greens and blues. will be gorgeous. wish we could see it then!
It would probably take on a more muted tone if you sponged on a nice cream color. Tie in your other colors by using accent pillows and a nice throw. Good Luck!!

DanielI have a mazda RX-8 want to have it painted the exact color offered on the Aston Martin DB9 how can I do this?
go to aston martin website and get the colour's name. go to any major automotive paint supplier and look up the colour code. you may have to contact the manufacturer to get the code. the paint supplier should be able to mix up the quantity for you.
i own a repair and restoration shop, and any good paint store that sells ,,ppg paint, or ,,DuPont,,can mix the exact color of it,and they also can do whats called a computer match on it,they can scan any piece of the car that you take them, and it will give them the mixing code for the exact color of it,i use this service all the time because some of the jobs i do are only slight touch up,s or maybe a fender or a door, and on these it has to match 100% it cant be off none, but any ppg paint store can do this for you ,good luck i hope this helps.
go to the aston martin dealership and find out exactly what the paint color is and code # and your all set to paint yours that color, just go to the paint store and have them mix it up for you.
You have to go to an auto paints/body shop supplier. Look in the phone book. Go down and talk to them. Have the year and model, as their color book covers all cars of very many years. Who is painting it.? Also required is a bunch of other stuff.

Ask these guys. They will inform you as to what you got to do and what you need.

Painting cars takes a bit, and the finish is never as good or as hard as what is on the car now-as that coat is baked on like your stove, fridge and enameled cookware.

*Bedroom carpet is a mauve pink - help me choose a color to paint the walls and decide my curtains!*?

First off, the carpet cannot be changed. Secondly, right now the walls are stark white and I'm not feeling it. Third, when I say mauve pink let me remind you it is not baby girl pink, nor is it barbie hot pink. Fourth, my room is real small. (I'd give measurements but I'm not there right now. But trust me, it's small.) It is also square-not rectangular or odd shaped. The ceiling is flat.

I also have three sets of curtains I can choose from. (The room only has one window.) I can put up solid mauve pink with cream white lace accent w/ matching valance; a sheer white lace curtain with floral design; or a sheer material with an all over rose design that looks like watercolors in various shades of pink.

As you can tell, I'm a feminine decorator. I am 19 years old. I like vintage things. I love roses! I love the whole vintage shabby chic look, french boudoir, victorian, or chic beach cottage look.

Feel free to add other suggestions!!!!! I love decorating!*Bedroom carpet is a mauve pink - help me choose a color to paint the walls and decide my curtains!*?
you could paint the walls some sort of off-white or cream color, but if you aren't into playing it so safe, light grey would be nice. Or you could find out what shade of green best compliments mauve pink if you want to paint the walls green, or blue would be nice and bold.

I think I would go with light grey walls and the rose print curtain. Beautiful white curtain rods would be a nice accent, as would accent pillows that match the curtain and accompany your theme.*Bedroom carpet is a mauve pink - help me choose a color to paint the walls and decide my curtains!*?
Paint the walls a slightly deeper shade of white or creamy beige. Just be sure to pick a shade that compliments your carpet. You'd be amazed what a difference choosing the correct ';warm'; or ';cool'; shade will make. Keep the wall color light. It will ';open'; your room and allow more decorating options. Go to Home Depot or similar store where they have a large selection of paint sample cards and bring a bunch home. See what colors look best in you room (NOT just in the store) and be sure it works with your carpet. Consider adding a wallpaper border and new bedding to pull the look together. Waverly.com, shabbychic.com and Notooshabby.com are some great places to look for ideas and inspritaiton. Hope this helps!
silvery gray with a lilac blush. check this color out: Sherwin Williams ';grape mist';. and for the trim id go with ';plum brown';.

this color palette has a chic beachy/ victorian feel. it would look great with either the second or third curtain choice.
so you have a small squer room with a mauve pink carpet in the middle. and one window..

for walls you can do it light blue (somthing like petrol blue) and the curtain light mauve pink with a dark mauve pink lace

you can use wallpaper with floral patterns.. (light and dark pink-dark yellow-) and then put a checkered -modern like- curtain.... you can use dark yellow -gold like- lace with the curtain.. and this can match the colors on the floral pattern on the wall paper

i think the 2nd option is better...

in all cases i dont think that pink carpet can match well with white walls
I'm drawn to say a pale yellow wall color, at least on two walls, leaving the other two walls white, with each color facing the other, along with the watercolor curtains. Then add some pale yellow, white, and that pink/rose accessories.

    Small room, keep it light.
It might be a little unusual but I'd go for a light gray colour, on the blue side of gray. It's a soothing peaceful colour so it's good for a bedroom. I think that with mauve pink, gray, and white lace you could have a charming room. Get some other things in lace besides the curtains--pillowcases, doilies, lampshades. The roses you love could also work in very nicely with this sort of look.
Paint your room a creamy color, like ';Sand Dollar White'; by Behr (it's actually more of a yellow-beige than a white). Or if you want to go a slight bit darker, I think that ';classic taupe'; would look pretty. Check 'em out:

    http://www.behr.com/behrx/workbook/

As for the curtains, I like the sound of the solid mauve with white lace.

I have light grey carpet and need help deciding what color to paint my bedroom walls?

Plain and simple. White! =] It'll give a ';brightness'; to the room...despite the grey carpet, and the grey and black in the blinds. Don't paint your walls a darker color. It'll make the room wayyy smaller! =]I have light grey carpet and need help deciding what color to paint my bedroom walls?
Goes well with off white and darker shades of blue some pastels.
A medium Grey with a black tone to it (rather than brown or green). That way it is in between the lt grey and the black stripe and will make the white stand out which is what you want with the black stripe.
Try looking foe a freize carpet that has grey and black tones(a mingled look) . One to look at is Kathy Ireland home collection 2 tone swirl, color bello...
    I'd go with a nice red/burgundy.
Why not take a colour out of your bedspread or something else in the bedroom that you like? Personally I think white walls and a grey carpet are too pale, put some colour in your life and wake up refreshed. Take a picture to your local paint store and ask their opinion.
Dark blue, acid green or a shiny silver. I think these would be young and striking.
since it's a bedroom i would do a restful blue but you have to choose a color that makes you go ahhh .... as i say to nearly everybody on YA, it's a good idea to invest in large paint chips (18';x18';) they are like 4 dollars each but they give you a good sense of color on an expanse. (if you dont want to spend on chips use a solid bath towel or solid fabric because color truly needs to be seen on an expanse.) ... feel free to use free chips but be aware those little chips can fool the eye and worse be costly and aggravating in time and money spent. remember nowadays stores like Lowe's offer color matching with a scanner gun and a paint ';computer';. all you need to do is bring in your sample for the clerk to scan, the larger the better. you can also invest in paint samples and white boards but i think that method's more expensive than the large chips method. happy painting!
Light, very light yellow goes well with grey and is soothing and happy for a calming bedroom. It will also coordinate with your other accessories.
I would go with a darker gray or maybe a blue hue. Any shade of blue should look good.
why not paint your room a darker shade of gray with black trim and make the shelves black as well. I am sure you can find plenty of black or gray or black and gray comforters, sheets, pillow cases, etc to finish off the entire room.

If you stay with just two colors your room will ALWAYS look fairly neat and orderly. Not to mention that people will notice the overall room as soon as they step inside it.

Just remember this ... its paint. If you dont like it ... its paint!

One other thing to consider is that whatever answers you get on here (including mine) is our opinion but you are the one that has to sleep in the room ... and light gray is a fairly neuteral color ... so the correct answer is: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COLOR??
You have a very neutral pallete so pretty much anything would match, but I think periwinkle (light purplish blue) would look awesome with the gray.
stay with your earthtones holla back

How much does it cost for you to add a color to paint?

I was wondering how much does it cost to get a gallon of white paint colored?? Im going to Lowes tomorrow and getting some and i already know the brand of the paint im getting but its white...they have some sample colors and stuff and i found one i like...so how much does it cost to get the color added to the white paint? Is it expensive? My fiance' said its cheap but i still dont know...lol!!! I was just wondering if anyone knew how much it was. Dont wanna get there and the price is going to be outrageous!!!How much does it cost for you to add a color to paint?
You are going tomorrow to buy the paint? Adding the color is not extra.. You choose the color and paint, then talk to the person at the counter and they will make your paint the color you want..How much does it cost for you to add a color to paint?
It doesn't cost anything other than the gallon of paint you are buying. You pick the color and they choose the base in the brand and sheen you want. If you are unsure of the color go to this site and look at the color options. This is Sherwin Williams but I like Behr. I would use any finish other than flat since you can't wipe the walls when something gets on it. Anything from eggshell to semi-gloss depending on the color. The darker the color the less sheen you want because of reflection.

Also look at the OOPS paint offered at Home Depot for $5 a gallon. If there's one close to the color you want then get it.
Call Lowe's. But I don't think it costs anything more to have a different color. They mix custom paint all the time. Roxanne

I do not like the color of our aluminum siding. Should we just paint it or replace it altogether?

Aluminum siding is already painted, so yes, you can paint over it. The trick is to get good adhesion between the existing paint and the new paint. It's best not to burn through excessively, so it's better to use a fine grit sandpaper. Aluminum siding usually has a texture, so after a general going over with an electric sander to get the easy bits, it really has to be sanded by hand, to get into the spaces. Sanding sponges and scotchbrite pads might also help.

Sanding is extremely important for adhesion. There are all sorts of products which claim to work without sanding, and they'll work well enough to hold themselves. But as paint dries, it shrinks, which puts tension on the previous coat. Each coat of paint increases the tension until finally the point of weakest adhesion breaks loose.

Imagine what's happening on a microscopic level. When you paint, the paint needs to grab hold of something (this is known as a mechanical bond). sanding creates all sorts of little microscopic anchoring points where the paint can grab hold. Sanding is even necessary for primer to have something to grab hold of (primer needs to bond also).

When sanding, it's not enough to just scratch the surface. Scratches are on a macro level compared to the bonding which happens with paint. You have to sand until the entire surface is dulled.

Most paint store employees will tell you that sanding isn't necessary with certain products, because all they know is what the paint suppliers tell them. If paint manufacturers actually told people the truth about sanding, few people would buy the product because most people hate sanding. So most paints tend to downplay the importance of sanding. If they didn't, people would just buy someone else's product that did make claims to the contrary.

After all that, you need to give it a coat of really good primer. I personally recommend Alkyd Modified primers. You'll probably have to call a few paint stores to find one. Most paint stores will either claim that they've never heard of it, or claim that they have something better. For my customers, I have had the best luck with Alkyd modified primers.

Then paint it with a good latex paint, and you'll have a painted house which will hold up as well as any painted house.

That's what it takes to really paint over aluminum siding and get it to work. And then in five years, you can sand that coat, and give it another coat which will hopefully last for another 5 years. And despite all the prep work, there are no guarantees that little bits here and there where you didn't sand perfectly might not flake off eventually.

So, as a fourth generation fine finish painter with over 20 years experience, I am recommending that you buy vinyl sidingI do not like the color of our aluminum siding. Should we just paint it or replace it altogether?
you are better off replacing it with vinyl siding, have to use special paint, if not it will just flake offI do not like the color of our aluminum siding. Should we just paint it or replace it altogether?
you can paint it but it needs to be spray painted to make it look good in the end
painting is cheaper,be sure siding is clean, use preasure washer and t. s. p. cleaner. use 100% acrylic latex exterior paint and high quality primer.sherwin-williams paints such as duration or superpaint.

My living is painted gold. what color sofa should I buy?

Also, my dining room is close to the living room. I need help with a paint color for the dining room walls. Help (:)My living is painted gold. what color sofa should I buy?
Try a Chocolate coloured sofa- leather-

as long as the d.r. and l.r. are not open concept- same room- you can paint the dr whatever colour you want- just make sure whatever colour you choose you also put ';accents'; of that colour in the LRMy living is painted gold. what color sofa should I buy?
I have a black sofa with gold walls, with black and gold cushions accessories etc. i also added a plum colour to one of the walls to inject a bit of colour onto the room, it looks really classy. Hope this helps!
I would pick Red for the couch...how about painting your dining room the same color, just a couple shades lighter/darker.
marooon would look good, or navy.
i would say a white sofa or cream sofa. did you ever think that a bage dining room with purple accents might be cute

Got a new bedspread, looking for ideas on what color to paint my room! Pics included!?

    I got this bedspread from wal-mart: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d鈥?/a>

And these sheets in Steel Blue from JCPenney: http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/x6.aspx?Cat鈥?/a>

I want my room to be light and airy despite the dark comforter. I'm planning on getting sheer ivory panel curtains and then a sheer maroon scarf for the top of the windows as well.

Since I want the room to be light and airy, I don't want to paint it any dark colors, but I'm a total loss for ideas. I'm awful at coordinating rooms like this! A friend suggested painting the room ivory with a maroon stripe 5' up, is that a good idea? Also, what other colors/ideas could I go with? I'm very open to ideas, just having trouble coming up with them on my own!Got a new bedspread, looking for ideas on what color to paint my room! Pics included!?
use a nice light lavender purple, it will match the sheets and bedding perfectly! it also matters how BIG your room is for the colors: if its small, use the lavender. If its big, use a nice vibrant baby blue, and make sure its light light light!Got a new bedspread, looking for ideas on what color to paint my room! Pics included!?
    Don't shop at wal-mart.
For your walls, I would use cream or a very, very light ivory, or a very light, light pale blue (almost white), or just white. I believe the maroon stripe would divide the room, and direct your eye to what is dark, rather than light, so think carefully before you do that. You could have a white ceiling, just to add a light color. I have seen this done many times in model homes, and in magazines (having the ceiling be a light color/white, which is lighter than the walls).

For your curtains, perhaps a pale ivory scarf entwined with or laid over the maroon could lighten up the maroon scarf, just to keep things light.

While your room is large, try some mirrors to help light reflect, if the room is shady. Use white, beige, cream, or other warm light colors as accents.

Think of a rug or carpet that is pale, but has the maroon or blue in it as accents, to go with your comforter. Pillows on a chair with blue, maroon, or even silver might be fun.

For sources, go to Home Depot, Benjamin Moore Paints, or Kelly Moore Paints to find paint chips or small sampler cans to paint a small swatch of paint on the room to see if you like the color in person. I cannot add a link to colors, as you really need to see the paint chips in person. You can take those home to model them.

    Good luck and have fun!
The bed spread that you chose is very pretty.I suggest that you go to your local hardware store or home improvement center and grab some cards with all different colors of paint chips on them. Then you can hold them up and see what you think might look good. Also to make things easier, they have a new paint out with the primer all ready in it.Wow,why didn't someone come up with this sooner.Hope I've been of some help to you.

Can anyone give me tips on painting a room with the color yellow?

Is yellow a particularly hard color to paint a room with? We did really well with the first section of the wall. It is very obvious where the roller stopped in places and the corners are particularly ugly. Do I need another coat of paint or what? Can anyone give me tips on painting a room with the color yellow?
I did a couple rooms in yellow without a problem but different shades of yellow are very different. I'd try another coat. Yellow is hard to get full coverage with so the main part of the wall may be showing through a bit.Can anyone give me tips on painting a room with the color yellow?
If you want the room to look larger than it is, use a light yellow. If you want the room to be smaller, use a darker yellow.

Otherwise, just paint the room what color you want it, you will probably need two coats.
If you use a light sand paper and sand in between coats of paint it does help.
you need to touch up where it looks bad, make sure that you have lots of blues and greens to counteract yellow on your walls though.
Yellow is supposed to be one of the more difficult colors to cover. I was painting over an ugly raspberry pink, so I asked the paint store to add the same tint of yellow to the primer as I was using in the paint. They didn't charge me anything extra for adding the color to the primer and I only had to paint one coat of paint over the primer. It worked great.
    Sure... DON'T!
sounds like you didn't use a primer first. Yes, you will need a second coat. possibly a third one depending how dark the yellow is.
yellows reds oranges have always been dificult hears afew tips with yellow i find afirst coat something like magnolia will give you abetter start ,then apply 2 coats try not to thin paint whenrollering keep same preasure on roller all over if possible if any roller edge maks appear use a soft paintbrush to level out paint ,another tip if using several tins mix the lot together, although bs numbered they can vary at least mixing color all the same
We did a yellow rm. once. It took 4 coats. Yellow is difficult but, not gold or mustard. Adding a little red seems to help it cover.
I think you need another coat
    O I luv the color yellow :) Lucky :)
After you paint it once try to add some thinner to the paint for a second coat. It should help it mix better on the wall.

I have white walls & maroon capet in living room what color do i paint bedroom doors facing living room?

Why do you have white walls with Maroon carpet? Why? Why not gold walls, khaki walls? Tan walls? Lovely grey walls? You can literally spend hours:

You have a great deal of contrast in your room with dark maroon and white. For visual continuity, your doors are considered trim and should be painted the same as your trim unless your trim is stained. In that event I am for following the wall color.

Since you already have contrast, you don't want too many areas of interest to develop. Too many focal points in a space makes for what we commonly call ';busy';...besides, you don't want your house looking like the stage set for ';Let's Make A Deal'; with different colored doors. LOL

    Best,

    Rodd
off white ,cream ,buttermilk-or satin black or deepest brown anything more will be to much contrast with the contrast of white and maroon

What color would you paint your house if no one cared about keeping up with society?

I love the colors of the Caribbean and the Bahamas homes look good too. Everyone around here is so cracker white. A family down the street hired painters and they got the wrong color, a nice ocean blue, and the other neighbors had a fit about it. I don't think it is anyone's business even if this is one of those subdiv. where you have to obey the rules, blah blah blah. Some of the buildings in Europe use lovely colors, too. I am thinking about a rose, melon, soft green or blush. I guess I better move to an island if I want to have my home painted like that. What color would you paint your house if no one cared about keeping up with society?

Chromed out house. that would be 'BIG PIMPIN'
    fucsia
A light color in between a purple and a blue. It's the highest color for spiritual development and very relaxing to look at.
The colors I painted it are the colors I wanted. Navajo White (beige, really) with dark blue trim.
    I wouldn't color at all
    Go with hot pink.
polka dotted; blue//white or i dunno..pretty much any color but hot pink :)
Red, orange, hot pink and purple paisley design.

    It would be wild!

Then I would trim it in black.
Wait...keeping up with society has an effect on what color people paint their houses? Damn. I knew people were pretentious, but that's pathetic.
    bright green with daisies
id paint clouds on my house and a big sun right on my doorway, that way id look like im walking through the sun when i walk into my house
Bright orange with white, yellow, and light pink stripes. Or I'd paint it white and then splatter huge splotches of all different colors all over it.
PINK!!! Seriously. No matter what the bricks are, PINK!!

    barbie car pink
a dull cool blue with a smidge of warm undertoning, matching brown trim

Anybody have paint ideas? (regarding color scheme)?

I'm changing rooms in my house, and I have no idea what color to paint it! I would like having 2 colors. (one color would go on 2 of the walls, and another color would go on the other 2 walls) I am a teenager, I'm into bright fun colors.

I know I don't want anything too bright, but nothing dark!

Any ideas?Anybody have paint ideas? (regarding color scheme)?
Room color combinations may be one you haven't yet imagined. Sometimes it's more interesting when the colors are not direct complements: blue, for example, works well with yellow, a warm color. The most obvious way to divide colors is with warm and cool groups.Anybody have paint ideas? (regarding color scheme)?
It has been my experience that bedrooms should have warm colors too help you sleep and make you feel comfortable just hanging out. Lively reds and fresh oranges are good for the walls with windows and those adjacent, and paired with pale yellow or a bright lemon color for the walls opposite the window, lose any darkness and shine in a welcoming way.

That said, these colors are more than a little intense, so be sure to hang up lots of art or do sponging with something mild over the top.
yesss. i think you should paint two of the walls ';tiffany blue';, and the other two purple. i was going to say deep purple, but you don't want dark. so maybe a medium purple, or a lavender.

good luck, hope i helped!!! :]

Purple. Because on a color wheel, purple is a mixture of red %26amp; blue. Traditionally blue is for boys, pink for girls. Red could be construed as a darker shade pink.
Red for passion or purple to represent the combination of pink and blue.

Our bedroom is painted a bright blue. What color choices should we use for curtains that are husband friendly?

My husband doesn't want brown, my mother doesn't want black. We have 4 windows, so white isn't much of an option unless we pair it with another color. Please help! It just can't be too girly! THe bright blue walls cause a seizure as it is!Our bedroom is painted a bright blue. What color choices should we use for curtains that are husband friendly?
Deep Lime green is great, or tangerine or pale sea green

Take a look at Better Homes and Gardens website under decorating. Lots of color ideas. Also getbooks from the library on decor. Our bedroom is painted a bright blue. What color choices should we use for curtains that are husband friendly?
The choice sounds good - are we ';invited'; to see when it's done?

I was just thinking (uh-oh!) If Mama doesn't like the choices.....maybe a soft, gauzy gray? If the fabrics were good the drapes could look floaty and cloud-like....not girly.

    beige or yellow
what does your mothers opinion have to do with curtains? if the room is for you and your husband, and you like black, go with black. as far as picking colors, generally, you should decide on a curtain, THEN pick your wall color...
Try a dark blue, it may work okay.
Dark shades, such as blue and grays would be man-friendly I believe. A dash of white, perhaps two white lamps or sheets/pillows on the bed would keep it fresh looking at the same time. I'm also thinking of white and dark blue stripes somewhere, but if you do that keep the stripes vertical. A picture of a sailboat or something ocean-related goes great with blues and whites as well, for decor example.
why not do classy blinds?thick wooden ones at home depot?
well like a cream color or a nutral color..
    A DARK BLUE
I would like a dark blue, along with dark blue bedsheets/blanket :)
I would try a gray or different shades of gray; something a bit neutral to equalize the color scheme.
Get bedding and curtains with blue in the print - stipes, floral, plaid, paisley, etc. Pair it with light neutral [ white or ivory ] blinds or shades underneath.

I need help with deciding what color to paint my living room walls.?

My carpet is very light brown, the furniture is off white and so are the walls. I have drapes which are striped with burgundy and camel and a thin strip of hunter green and gold in them and which are trimmed in a darker gold/brown trim (JC Penney/Rialto drapes). I have throw pillows which are brown and gold. I bought dark red throw rugs to give the floor some color. Even though they don't match the drapes Iike I thought they would, I can't afford to exchange them. I really need to know what to do with the walls. Any suggestions will be helpful.I need help with deciding what color to paint my living room walls.?
Take a look at a color called ';mink'; by sherwin williams. it's a warm neutral color %26amp; it should coordinate well with all of your colors:

http://sherlink.sherwin.com/swapp/color_鈥?/a>I need help with deciding what color to paint my living room walls.?
This color is popular today.... paint the walls beige with a white trim (at bottom and possibly even the top of the wall). This will bring out the camel in the curtains...

The red throw rug sounds like it brings out the red in the curtains nicely! You just need to find something to bring out the hunter green in the curtains. Your color pallet is burgandy, hunter green, beige, and white... work around that! :)
    i would go dark brown
Are you brave enough for some drama?

If so, I would paint one wall burgundy and the other walls a light camel color, the same shade as what's in the drapes, but a shade or two lighter. This is because you have off white furniture. The furniture would look better against a ';color'; and the burgundy and camel paint colors would pull those colors out of the drapes.

I would also get some throw pillows in the burgundy color and whatever color matches the rugs you bought to tie them together.

I googled the drapes and they are very pretty. I know that the above colors would look gorgeous with them if you're brave enough to try it. If you hate it, you can always paint over it.
unless you don't want to make it too drastic, i say dark brown. or alternating with the main colors you used every other wall. you could do gold stencils too.

  • I'm not sure on what color to paint my walls.?

I just bought a black/white/pink bed set from Target.

I'm not sure on what color I should paint my walls, hoping it will look good. I've always liked a deep/wine red color. I want 2 dark walls and 2 light and I'm not sure what lighter color I should get.

    I like mis-match. I don't like ';perfect';.

I just need some opinions on what lighter color would go well. Or even what 2 colors would go well together for the walls.

The bed set I bought looks like this:

play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like.

I think the color ';snowberry'; (# 7140) and ';cordial'; (# 6306) would look good with that bedding.

You can also take a photo of your house %26amp; upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

    http://www.roomvues.com/

You can get color suggestions %26amp; they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

Where's my color chart on paint shop pro? i exited out and now i cannot find it?

i went to palettes then materials like it said and it didn't come upWhere's my color chart on paint shop pro? i exited out and now i cannot find it?
Try View -%26gt; Palette -%26gt; and clicking 'Materials' or use the 'F6' key again.

If you still can't see your materials palette, check the sides of your PSP workspace...it may be in a 'rolled-up' tab mode. If it is, just hover your cursor over the tab and it should roll out. Click on the 'pushpin' icon to lock/unlock.

If you ever need all your toolbars and palettes visible, go to File -%26gt; Preferences -%26gt; Reset Preferences and select 'make all toolbars/palettes visible....' and click 'OK'. (For PSP8 and later)

If you are asking about the 'available colors panel' on the materials palette, make sure that the image you have open has been promoted to 16 million/24 bit colors (Image -%26gt; Increase Color Depth)

    Hope this helps :)
