How much does it cost for you to add a color to paint?

I was wondering how much does it cost to get a gallon of white paint colored?? Im going to Lowes tomorrow and getting some and i already know the brand of the paint im getting but its white...they have some sample colors and stuff and i found one i like...so how much does it cost to get the color added to the white paint? Is it expensive? My fiance' said its cheap but i still dont know...lol!!! I was just wondering if anyone knew how much it was. Dont wanna get there and the price is going to be outrageous!!!How much does it cost for you to add a color to paint?

It doesn't cost anything other than the gallon of paint you are buying. You pick the color and they choose the base in the brand and sheen you want. If you are unsure of the color go to this site and look at the color options. This is Sherwin Williams but I like Behr. I would use any finish other than flat since you can't wipe the walls when something gets on it. Anything from eggshell to semi-gloss depending on the color. The darker the color the less sheen you want because of reflection.

Also look at the OOPS paint offered at Home Depot for $5 a gallon. If there's one close to the color you want then get it.
Call Lowe's. But I don't think it costs anything more to have a different color. They mix custom paint all the time. Roxanne
