How do i make a photo black and white but leave something color in it...i have corel paint shop pro photo x2?

Just use the freehand selection tool (point to point - feather and smoothing on 0) then just trace around the object you want to leave in colour right click to close off, you'll have like marching ants around it. Then click Selection and down to Invert (or hold control+Shift+I) and then click Adjust and down to Hue and Saturation, then Colourize (or Shift+L)and then move both sliders to 0. That will make it black and white. Select None. Save As.How do i make a photo black and white but leave something color in it...i have corel paint shop pro photo x2?

Corel paint is similar to Photoshop...

I would do what you are asking about using Layers...

Duplicate the 1st layer... [that is now Layer 2]

Convert the 1st layer to B%26amp;W

In the 2nd Layer Eliminate everything you wanted in B%26amp;W and that will leave you your Color Areas with a B%26amp;W Background...
