Look in your closet and see what colors you wear. Those are the colors you like right now. You can always repaint when your tastes change.





Make sure you sample the paint color in the room during all times of day light. We sampled some colors that looked great in the store but horrible in our house because the way the light changes and we live in a foggy area. We needed more warm and bright highlights in our paint color and not muted colors because of the fog and dull light on most days.





If you need to a lot of sleep and rest, choose soft, cool colors (blues, greens, and purples) and save the really warm and loud colors in accent items and linens to make the room pop (i.e. don't use red and yellow everywhere).

A lot of people paint their room their favorite color. Of course, if your favorite color is black, then I wouldn't recommend painting your room black, because it could end up being too dark.


What I like to do is feng shui my room. There are feng shui color charts that say what color to paint your room depending on what you want. I'm sure you can easily find those by googling it.


I decided on the color of my room based by the furniture which I have in it. Most of the furniture is creamy white colored, so I thought it would be nice and calming to paint it a light shade of pink.





Oh, and when you paint your room, remember to paint a small part of it first, and then see how it looks when it dries. That way, you won't end up painting your whole room, and then realizing it looks bad.

it depends on wheather your being safe or not with your colors. if u want a simple look i would go with nuetral tones like a beige it gives it a warm color. but if you want a lot of fun in it i would go with a blue or a green nice mellow shades of it though, nothing heavy. but if you want a heavy color i would go with a heavy paint color that almost looks like velvet, like eggplant or a dark blue

Well, It depends on your style. Suppose you love paramore, you could paint it a red. And also make it go with the size of your room. If you have a small room there's no way you could paint it dark or it will look gloomy and dark. Hope I Helped?
