Technically, it can be red, or orange.

lol yeah, havent u heard the news on how a guy was shot by the cops because he had a airsoft gun that did NOT have an orrange tip? scary stuff....seariously i really would paint that
The tip has to be orange so I suggest you spray paint it. If you go out with it with a black tip you'll get shot. :X
