My office has the typical gray furniture, very cold, in both the desk and bookcases. The carpet and bordes are a beige/brown mix...I would love it to be inviting and relaxing. I get plenty of natural a.m. light, but then it gets dark. I use lamps instead of florescents, so it can get a little dark....its just hard to match a warm color with that stupid gray furniture...any suggestions??What color should I paint my office? ?
play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to help you imagine how the colors will look together. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family %26amp; color name, the ';painted'; rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think ';vanillin'; (# 6371) might be a great choice.
You can take a photo of your house %26amp; upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions %26amp; for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like. What color should I paint my office? ?
You should paint your office the color you want. But you should choose a color that is relaxing and not too complicated and matches with your gray furniture. The following colors are my options: Brown, and medium green. I' ll give you a tip, you should choose curtains that is the color transparent white and has details that is the color brown-gold so it relaxes you. And you should really change your gray furniture, or just add a little light-brown furniture.
Go to this site and consider something like ';Rose Tan';. Choose the bedroom on this site that has the gray comforters to experiemnt with. That will give you a better idea of how the colors will work together. I think a salmon or a coral shade will work well with the gray and the browns. http://www.sherwin.com/visualizer/
