JAMES MARCH PHILLIPS (1913-1981). Phillips is best known for his skill in the watercolor medium. He painted architecture, landscapes especially in the Monterey Peninsula and Carmel area, and, interestingly, golf courses. He's listed in most major references and works have sold at John Moran in Pasadena and at Bonhams and Butterfields.
