What color should i paint my room?

Ok so i'm a thriteen year old girl, and not a big girly-girl, but not a MAJOR tomboy. and we are going to have to sell this house in a while, so i dont know what color would fit me, and would sell. pictures could help-alot. :]What color should i paint my room?
You wouldn't want to go with any garish colors or any colors unsuitable for the majority of people. Neutrals are usually best if you're going to sell the house. Being 13, you might want to go with a very, very light yellow, almost a 'glow' of sunlight, or a pinkish toned beige, maybe a very light teal. Personally, I love teal. Many interior decorators get their color scheme ideas from art. Find a picture that has two or three colors that you really like and incorporate them into your room. You have to use colors that is accepted by majority of the people because you have to sell your house. White is okay. A warm one or a cool one? I depends on your preference. There are various ';whites'; out there. Cream would do and would still be flexible.





Now I know that you wouldn't want your whole room to be so bland. But there is a solution. Since the walls are of a natural color, It would harmonize to any other color. This means that you could add your favorite color to other objects in your room. If you love pink, for example, decorate your window with a pink curtain of the shade of your choice. You can then extend the palette to other objects, for example by painting your furniture with the darker shade of the same pink, using a bed cover of various shade of the same pink, adding a pink rug, etc. You get the main idea.





Of course you could use more than one color. Thats the advantage of a wall painted in a natural color. It works with anything. But don't use too many, use a maximum of five colors. Select the colors so that they harmonize with each other. Have fun selecting them, and stick to them. Don't change your color palette when in the middle of decorating. It would bring a design disaster.





For inspiration on what color to choose, look for your favorite objects; like a picture, a dress, a cartoon character. You could use the color of the object for decoration.
