What color to paint my walls with gold curtains?

I have theses huge dark gold curtains

The green stripes in the picture are way more subtle in real life and the flash made the curtains look shiny. There is also some red hues in the curtains. Currently the walls, which you can see in the picture, are a blue gray. This does not seem to complement them. Any help??? We hate cream or red colors. One wall is already red and it's not pretty.What color to paint my walls with gold curtains?

I would go with a pale gold for your walls. Make sure your paint color doesn't look yellow or ';mustardy.'; You want a lighter shade than the stripe in the curtain.





The pale gold color is neutral, and will go nicely with the dark furniture piece in the room - I can see the corner of it in the photo.





My living room walls are a pale gold. I had the color custom mixed, and it's very pretty. In certain lights, the room looks awash in a golden glow, and it's cheery and rich-looking. My sofa is moss green, and I have accents and accessories in shades of reds and rusts. It's a nice combination.





Next time I paint, I plan to stay with the gold, but I'll go a little deeper.





With just the right shade of pale gold - Wow! You'll love it!
Cream would look nice
A light brown might look nice btw those are realy pretty drapes.
Chocolate brown might be nice and is in style. Royal blue?
how about sage green???

Red would be nice and bold, some nice brown furniture would match it well. And if you found pillows and accents that were gold and red it'd be great! Hope I helped :)
