I was planning on totally changing my room for christmas and thought of going with a darkish-gray color for the walls. Right now it's a cream color and its getting really boring, plus how it makes my room extra bright when its sunny isn't appealing to me. Would gray go with my furniture? Everything is dark brown with the exception of my computer desk which is bright cream color and my black computer and the floor is white. I'm going for the clean/professional look. What color to paint room?
Unless you are depressed I would never paint a room darkish gray. I think a medium navy blue color would be just the right color to offset your furniture. What color to paint room?

play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family %26amp; color name, the ';painted'; rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think a green like ';starboard'; (# 6755) might be a great choice.
You can take a photo of your house %26amp; upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions %26amp; for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.
Blue is a complimentary color to brown. It will also go well with the cream desk and still looks clean and professional. My room was a light sky blue and I found it to be very calming. It will still be bright when the light comes in but if you get some chocolate brown curtains it should help and look really nice.
