I used to have a cool bedroom one side was red, the other yellow (I'm in my 30's btw) with nice furniture it looked very nice and interesting. My current bedroom is a very light beige and looks classy. I will be moving into a new place over the weekend, the living room is a tan brown, the bedrooms are stark white. I'm thinking of adding color, at least for the bedroom I'll be using as mine. Any ideas what color will look good for a change? I have a black iron bed and a wooden dresser. I want it to look both trendy and classy (I like candles and serenity) but nothing loud (like no greens or bright brights). Thanks for your ideas! Also would you suggest I color the 2nd bedroom the same colors? I plan on renting out the 2nd bedroom to a roommate. What's a good color to paint my bedroom based on this?
I definitely recommend burgundy! You know, as long as the room isn't too dark, you could probably leave the ceiling white. But it's a very classy color that never goes out of style, and would be gorgeous with that wrought iron bed and some candles would really bring out the warmth of the room (both figuratively and literally of course...)
Pale brown/Fallow or a light Sepia would be very nice for the other bedroom, with perhaps a much darker or much lighter trim around windows/doors/moldings/etc. !What's a good color to paint my bedroom based on this?
a yellow that makes you think summer wen you walk in or a turquoise
a very light blue looks good in just about any bedroom
and is easy to look at
a dark tan color
